Hey there, JA3 enthusiasts! π΅οΈ I've been tinkering behind the scenes, and guess what? Our service just got a glow-up! Think of it like swapping your flip phone for a smartphoneβ¦ but with more TLS fingerprints.
Once upon a time, JA3 was the cool kid for spotting clients. But modern browsers decided to spice things up β they now shuffle ClientHello extensions like a deck of cards at a poker game. π Result? JA3 throws a new fingerprint every time your browser says "hello". Talk about identity confusion! π
But fear not, to fight this chaos, we recruited superhero stepping in to save the day: pagpeter/TrackMe ! π¦Έ Thanks to this awesome solution, we're leveling up our fingerprint game. Starting now, we'll be collecting four different hashes for each client. Say hello to:
These new fingerprinting methods aren't mainstream yet, but I believe they'll become the next big thing. Having a searchable database with all these fingerprints? That's a solid foundation for the future. πͺ
Bad News First:
Our old database and new database had a messy breakup. Why? The new one wanted to "see other fingerprints". Migrating JA3 data was like trying to fit a giraffe into a Mini Cooper β disastrous. So I hit reset. π
Good News:
I've spent months stuffing the new database with fingerprints like a Thanksgiving turkey. π¦ You'll barely notice the switch! Plus, the old JA3 database (circa February 20, 2025) is now free! Use it to reminisce about simpler times. π
I want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who's helped collect browser JA3 fingerprints over the years. π Thanks for being awesome! Your help made this possible. π
Now go forth and fingerprint⦠responsibly.
